The Annual exhibition was opened by the Mayor of Bury, Councillor Jane Black on 3rd December 2018.
The standard of entries was, as ever, extremely high.
This will be the last Annual exhibition to take place in December/January. The next BAS Annual Exhibition will be from August to October 2019 at The Art Museum.

The Mary Shaw People’s Prize given to the painting which received the most votes by visitors to the exhibition, was won by Pam Stone for ‘Winter Parkland’

As part of the exhibition this year, some members of the society took part in a Landscape Challenge in Bury Art Museum. The subject of the challenge was the Irwell Valley Sculpture trail and members painted a picture of a sculpture of their choice in the allotted time. Great fun was had by all, photos included below.
