After being unable to hold an exhibition in 2020 Bury Art Society is delighted to be once again holding its Annual Exhibition at the Bury Art Museum.

The Deputy Mayor, Councillor Shaheena Haroon and the Deputy Mayor’s Consort, Councillor Mr Raja Haroon Khan officially opened the Exhibition on Saturday 14th August 2021.

The Mary Shaw People’s Prize Winner this year was Anne Fryer for her painting 'Seagulls'
The runners up were Christine Hall for 'Surfs Up', and Alison Adams for 'Shrouded Woods-Kirklees Valley' both joint second.
Judith Church for 'Buster' (French Bulldog) was third.

Memorial Wall

This year the exhibition includes a special memorial wall that honours the outstanding talents of three members of Bury Art Society who have sadly passed away since our last exhibition in 2019. Wright Platt, Derek White, and Phil Jones were kind, compassionate, and very loyal, long-standing members of the society. They were all hard-working members of the committee and had made significant contributions over the years to make the society the success it is today. They will be so sadly missed by everyone.
